Edward Sarkisyan

Managing Partner

Ed founded Smart Coats while attending Babson College nearly 15 years ago. His dual concentration in entrepreneurship and finance gave him the tools he needed to build Smart Coats and transform it into one of the leading service providers for the Boston area. He maintains a wide range of certifications including a Home Improvement Contractors’, Construction Supervisors’, and Renovation, Remodeling and Painting Supervisors’ licenses. Ed oversees all operations from sales to production in order to ensure that every project completed today is done to the same high standards that he established over a decade ago.

Arthur Sarkisyan

Project Manager

Arthur’s experience in home improvement ranges from construction to management. Arthur has worked as a Maintenance Technician for Community Builders as well as a Property Manager for Extra Space Storage. Arthur has been with Smart Coats for over 8 years now and he provides essential support to both office and field operations, from database management to production supervision. Arthur is also well-know for his legendary prowess on the grill and can usually be found wherever the good smells are coming from at all company events and outings!

Tom Sarkisyan

Marketing Manager

Tom is a graduate of Babson College, joined the team to help his older brother with sales and marketing initiatives. Tom gained his primary expertise in online marketing from years of working with Fortune 500 companies developing and executing strategies for customer acquisition and client retention. Tom brings a versatile skill-set to the team and also helps to run sales estimates and project management.

Lisa Davis

Senior Business Developer

Lisa joined the Smart Coats team in 2008. Since then she has been setting the bar for customer assistance. Thanks in no small part to her diligence and persistence Smart Coats has been able to develop new relationships with many of the premier property management companies, retail/hotel chains, and educational institutions in the area. Although Lisa now lives in Illinois with her family, she still works full-time remotely to assist our existing clients and help us to develop new relationships with potential customers across all industries.

Catie O'Brien

Business Developer

Catie joined Smart coats in beginning of 2016, bringing extensive experience in customer acquisition and client services to the team. Her experience comes from years of handling lead generation and sales/management for a local cleaning company. As the first point of contact for many of our remodeling customers, Catie is able to effectively assess their needs and assign them to the project manager who is best able to assist them. She made an immediate impact on our business by seamlessly picking up the lead generation and follow-up efforts for the majority of our networking initiatives. Outside of work, Catie loves to spend time with her kids walking down to the beach and coaches cheerleading!

Carter Roman

Business Developer

Carter has been with the business since inception. He began as a marketing consultant and assisted with re-branding the company including a new logo and associated materials for marketing and operations. Over time he has transitioned into both sales and project management, learning first hand from our most experienced craftsmen. Carter also leads our networking initiatives such as attending yearly trade shows and affiliate events as well as coordinating sponsorships and community service efforts.

Gledson Gomes

Production Manager

Gledson has been with Smart Coats for over a decade. His expertise goes beyond painting into full-scale renovations. Gledson and his crews have experience tearing down interiors and exteriors to the studs and putting them back together again. Painting is his specialty including all types of materials from basic latex to epoxy and other special coatings. He is also a proficient carpenter himself and has experience ranging from framing work to finish carpentry. When he is not on the job site, he is a churrasco (Brazilian BBQ) maste  and always makes sure his family and friends are well fed!

Ronaldo Martin

Production Manager

Ronaldo has been with Smart Coats for nearly a decade. Many years ago, his brother Romeo was one of the first contractors that Smart Coats partnered with at the very beginning. Ronaldo learned from his brother and took over after Romeo returned to Brazil. Since then Ronaldo has been leading multiple crews and worked on all types of projects from residential homes to commercial properties of all sizes. Ronaldo and his team specialize in Painting of all types with all materials but they also perform a variety of other services for Smart Coats from hanging drywall to finish carpentry.

Valdo Fernandez

Lead Construction Supervisor

Valdo Fernandez has been with Smart Coats for over 10 years. His construction experience ranges from remodeling single family homes to new construction of commercial properties. Valdo’s expertise ranges from framing to finish work. He runs multiple crews specializing in everything from window/door and siding replacement to full-scale additions. Valdo has over 20 years experience working on all types of buildings residential homes to commercial high-rises. When Valdo is off the clock, he loves to relax and spend time with friends and family around the grill or the pool.

Valdir Pereira

Construction Supervisor

Valdir is one of the newest additions to the Smart Coats team as he joined about 2 years ago. In the short time he has been working with us so far he has made a huge impact on operations and allowed us to expand our business significantly. He has the expertise and attention to detail required to manages multiple projects simultaneously while always maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction in true Smart Coats fashion. When he is not working Valdir loves to barbecue and spend time with his family!
